Lot Description
A George III silver cream jug of oval form, with bulbous body with pricked borders, a central band of foliated engraving leading towards a central vacant cartouche surrounded by a wreath, the elongated handle and rim with reeded decoration. Hallmarked London 1802, maker's mark '?B'. Height 5 inches (12.75 cm), weight 4.40 ozt (124.6 grams).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. There are some deeper scratches, particularly around the upper rim, and a dent to the cartouche. There is a crack to the base of the handle and on the join with the top of the jug. The hallmarks are heavily rubbed, completely in places, but mostly legible, the maker's mark is partially obscured.
