A mid Victorian 18ct gold coral and diamond locket, circa 1870. The oval coral cabochon cross, with diamond point accents, to the oval-shape locket, opening to reveal a glazed panel. Length 7.6cms. Weight 61gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Slight wear to the gilt finish. Length includes the tapered surmount, length excluding surmount 5.5cms. The diamonds appear relatively bright and well matched. Individual diamonds size and setting prevents accurate assessment of total diamond weight or colour/clarity grades. The coral is a moderately well matched mottled pale pink hue, some cabochons with a pale yellowy orange hue, varying in saturation of colour. Growth zoning and minor polyp holes visible. Maker's mark to inside of lid behind glass, JB, within an oval cartouche. General dirt.
