A late 19th century gold diamond and split pearl star brooch. The old-cut diamond, within a split pearl star and similarly-set foliate surround. may be worn as a pendant. Estimated diamond weight 0.10ct. Diameter 2.5cms. Weight 6.2gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches and areas of discolouration to the brooch in keeping with overall wear, there is some significant discolouration in places. There are inclusions to the diamond visible with magnification, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
The split pearls are well matched, there are some cracks and areas of imperfections to some of the split pearls. The back pin is a possible replacement of a similar age.
