Great War, WWII and Women's Royal Army Corps Family Group of Medals, comprising Great War Pair named to '17153 Pte. T. Ward. L'Pool R.', WWII medals, 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence Medal (2), War Medal 1939-45, Efficiency Decoration, Territorial, Elizabeth II, dated 1964 in case of issue with letter of conferment from 42 (Lancs) Signal Regiment (TA) to Captain E. Ward, TD, WRAC (TA), dated 25 Mar 64.
Further newspaper clipping lists Ward, Dick, R.A.M.C., July, died of wounds in Sicily, son of Thomas and Edith Ward, brother and pal of Mary and Edith, Liverpool. It is probable that some of the WWII medals were awarded to Richard (Dick) Ward. Records list a Private Richard Ward 7349424 R.A.M.C., 164 Field Amb died on the 12/07/1943, aged 24, Syracuse War Cemetery, Sicily.
