A late Victorian gold diamond locket, circa 1880. The oval-shape locket, with central old-cut diamond, suspended from a mesh-link collar, with overlaid foliate detail. Length of locket 5cms. Length of collar 42cms. Weight 42.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the locket and collar in keeping with overall wear. Estimated diamond weight 0.07ct, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
Personal inscription to reverse of locket reads 'In memory of William Frederic and Isaline Mary Dixon also Frederick Arthur Dixon Jan 3 1919'. The locket opens and closes securely. One of the stylised leaves is deficient to the collar. There is a Victorian registration mark to the collar. The clasp is secure.
