Lot Description

A late 19th century 18ct emerald and diamond cluster ring. The rectangular-shape emerald, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the scroll engraved shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts, H-J colour, P1-P2 clarity. Weight 3.9gms.

Overall condition good to fair. There are slight scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. The mount of the ring is late 19th century mount is in good condition. The claws to the emerald have been re tipped. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the emerald and significant chips in places, there are fissures visible with the unaided eye. The diamonds are bright, there are chips and easily visible fractures to all visible with the unaided eye. Inner band stamped 18ct. Ring size N.
