Lot Description

An early 20th century 9ct gold amethyst and split pearl bar brooch. The hexagonal-shape amethyst collet, flanked by split pearl floral detail, to the staggered double bar. Length 5.8cms. Weight 5.2gms.

Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the brooch in keeping with overall wear. There are dents to the terminals. Stamped 9ct to reverse. The split pearls slightly vary in shade, some with significant blemishes in places. The amethyst is a pinkish purple with a weak saturation of colour, there are some chips to the facet edges.
