Lot Description
A mid 20th century 18ct gold sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The oval-shape sapphire, within a brilliant-cut diamond double surround, to the openwork shoulders and ridged band. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts, H-J colour, P1-P2 clarity. Foreign marks. 8.6gms. Weight 8.6gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. The sapphire appears translucent to opaque, there are areas of visible angular colour zoning and typical inclusions visible with the unaided eye. There are areas of surface abrasion. The diamonds are bright, there are inclusions easily visible with the unaided eye. One of the claws to the sapphire has broken off. There is significant yellowing to the back of the band.
