Lot Description
A rolled gold keyless wind open face pocket watch by Penlington & Batty, the white enamel dial with hourly applied black Roman numeral markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o’clock, the round case, with ornate monogram to rear, fitted with a signed three quarter plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement, split bi-metal compensation balance. Case diameter 48mm.

Open face pocket watch, keyless wind movement is currently functioning, movement shows some tarnishing, dial shows a hairline cracks radiating out to the nine o'clock numeral and by the two o'clock numeral, dial has some marks, hands have scratches and tarnishing, glass has marks and a small chip to eight o'clock, case has marks and scratches as a result of general use, band shows a dent to the left hand side, engraved monogram to the rear, crown has wear to the plating, bow shows marks.
