Lot Description
An early 20th century 18ct gold ruby, paste and diamond dress ring. The oval-shape rubies and replacement red paste, with old-cut diamond double intervals, to the scrolling shoulders and tapered band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, partially rubbed. Weight 3.5gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with the age of the ring. There is significant abrasion to the facet edges of the rubies and and easily visible internal fractures. There are easily visible gas bubbles to the replacement red paste. One diamond is chipped, individual size and/or setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
