An early 20th century gold ruby and diamond five-stone ring. The graduated circular-shape rubies, interspaced with old-cut diamonds, to the openwork gallery and scroll shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Partial hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 2.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Evidence of resizing and possible repair to the shoulders, with minor pitting. Only the assay office mark is visible, rest of the hallmark indistinct. Rubies fairly well matched. Pinkish-red with moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair condition with some abrasion and nibbles, principal ruby with a surface reaching fracture. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Scattered inclusions visible under magnification. Diamonds in fair to good condition, one with minor abrasion, one with a significant nibble to the crown facets. Ring size M1/2.
