Lot Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold split pearl, ruby and enamel ring, circa 1890. The split pearls, each within a blue enamel surround, to the oval-shape ruby line intervals, scroll enamel shoulders and tapered band. Two split pearls deficient. Partial hallmarks for Birmingham. Weight 2.3gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are two split pearls deficient. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. There are areas of damage to the blue enamel specifically to the shoulders. The rubies are a pinkish red with typical inclusions and some areas of surface abrasion visible with the unaided eye. There ring has been sized, removing the date letter from the hallmark.
