Lot Description

A mid 20th century 18ct gold and platinum emerald and diamond cluster ring. The rectangular-shape emerald line, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the tapered shoulders and plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct. Weight 4.1gms.

Overall condition fair to poor. There are scratches to the ring in keeping with overall wear. The emeralds vary in colour, with profuse black inclusions easily visible with the unaided eye. There is abrasion to the facet edges of the emeralds and chips to the edges. Some of the diamonds appear quite dull, there are profuse inclusions to many, there is a chip to one diamond visible with magnification. Inner band stamped 18ct pla. Ring size P.
