Lot Description

A late Victorian gold diamond, cultured pearl and enamel Diamond Jubilee commemorative brooch. The oval-shape white, blue and red enamel panel, depicting Queen Victoria in profile, to the alternating old-cut diamond and cultured pearl surround and engraved reverse, reading '1837 Diamond Jubilee 1897'. Estimated total diamond weight 0.75ct. Length 3cms. Weight 9.7gms. With fitted case.

Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Pearls untested. Diamonds bright and lively, some with nicks and surface abrasions. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Surface scratches and abrasions to enamel. Pearls creamy-white to yellow. With locket compartment.
