A mid 20th century 18ct gold diamond two-stone dress ring. The old-cut diamonds, inset to the fluted band, with rope-twist detail. Estimated total diamond weight 1.75cts, I-J colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Weight 16.2gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface wear and light scratches in keeping with general wear. Inner band inscribed Hermes Paris. Evidence of resizing, with added sizing panels to the inner band and fine fractures to the mount in several places. Resized area possibly lower carat. Diamonds assessed within the limits of the mount. Diamonds are possible replacement stones. Diamonds bright and well matched. One diamond with an inclusion that reaches the surface near the culet, visible to the unaided eye in a central position through the table. The other diamond with a significant chip to the crown, located from the edge of the table towards the girdle. Durability may be impaired. Diamonds in fair to good condition, one with minor abrasion, one with a chip. Ring size H.
