Lot Description

An early 20th century 9ct gold amethyst and seed pearl pendant. The oval-shape amethyst, within a seed pearl scroll and foliate openwork surround, suspending a pear-shape amethyst drop, to the similarly-set seed pearl surmount and belcher-link chain. Length of pendant 5.1cms. Length of chain 38.7cms. Weight 6.3gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Two seed pearls deficient. Seed pearls untested for natural origin. Amethysts medium to dark purple hue, with colour zoning. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or online for coloured gemstones. Seed pearls yellow to grey with surface imperfections. Stamped 9ct.
