A mid 20th century platinum and 18ct gold black opal and diamond cluster ring. The oval black opal cabochon, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the plain band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Weight 4.5gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Black opal with green, orange and red play-of-colour, flat patch running towards centre of stone. Play-of-colour is visible throughout the base of the opal. Surface scratches and abrasions visible to opal. Diamonds fairly bright with scattered inclusions, surface reaching fractures and abrasions. The diamonds comprise of a mixture of old-cut and old single-cut diamonds. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Stamped 18ct Plat. Ring size M.
