Lot Description
An early 20th century platinum and gold, opal and diamond pendant. The oval opal cabochon, suspended from a knife-edge bar, to the brilliant-cut diamond collet and halo surmount, suspended from a later chain. Estimated diamond weight 0.10ct. Length of pendant 4.5cms. Length of chain 42cms. Total weight 6.4gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Minor discolouration/soft solder to the join of the pendant and modern chain. The diamond appears moderately bright with small scattered inclusions. The opal has slight matrix to the reverse. The opal displays good play of colour, predominantly greens, blues and orange. The opal is significantly cracked, white cracks visible throughout. Opal dimensions 18 by 14.4mms, by 5.2mms deep.
