A late 19th century turquoise and ruby snake bracelet. The circular turquoise cabochon pave-set head, with circular-shape ruby eyes, to the articulated tapered body and forked tongue clasp. Length 18cms. Weight 18.7gms.

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and light scratches in keeping with age. Evidence of repair to the joints at the ends of the articulated strap. Light tarnishing in some places. Some possible turquoise replacements. Turquoise varies in hue from blue to bluish-green. Typical inclusions/veining. Turquoise in fair to good condition with some abrasion. Rubies pinkish-red, fair colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Rubies in good condition with minor abrasion and nicks.
