Crimean Pair & Long Service and Good Conduct Trio of Medals, comprising Crimea Medal, three clasps 'Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol, engraved to 'Gunr & Drir. Henry Wood. R.A.', Turkish Crimea Medal, Sardinia issue, unnamed, Army Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, 2nd type obverse with swivel suspension named to '1998 Gunr. Henry Wood Coast Bgde. Royl Arty.' (3).


Gunner & Driver Henry Wood is believed to be a recipient of the French Military Medal for gallantry. Please see War Medals of the British Army, Thomas Carter, London, 1893.


'Gunner & Driver Henry Wood, served in the fifth bombardment of Sebastopol, with zeal and gallantry, and exerted himself in bringing in a wounded croat under heavy fire, in the September bombardment.'
