A pair of Continental Art Nouveau pewter-mounted pottery vases. Each of shouldered tapering baluster form with bulbous neck, the ground shading from duck egg blue to near black, one stamped beneath 2505 CN, incised III and XII, the other incised 2505 only, each encased by Jugendstil or Secessionist-style pewter decoration with whiplash handles, panels of flowering plants and hobnail-studded apron with four splayed feet, 13.5", (34cm) high.
