Lot Description

An unusual late Victorian carved oak barometer, the 7.5-inch white main dial decorated in Arts & Crafts style with a vase of flowers, inscribed beneath 'H. SLAPE 164 TOTTENHAM COURT ROAD LONDON', with banner remarks and reading from 28 to 31 inches of pressure, with matching ethanol thermometer, the architectural case with pointed pediment, turned columns with ball finials, balustrade and gothic-style heptafoil base, 37" (94cm) high. (S/D).
