A late Victorian carved oak barometer, retailed by W.J. Hassard, 209 Sauciehall St., Glasgow, the 7.5-inch white dial reading from 25 to 31 inches of pressure, the case with architectural broken pediment and dentil frieze over ionic fluted columns flanking a mercury thermometer, the main dial beneath retailer's plaque within carved surround and base 40.5" (103cm) high.
