A George II oak cased 8-day brass dial longcase clock
John Vise, Wisbech, circa 1750
The 12-inch two-piece break arched dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, inner quarter hour track, and lozenge half hour, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring over signature cartouche 'I'NO VISE WISBECH' and terrestrial calendar square, the arch with boss 'Berry Hitchin' between dragons, the knopped four pillar movement rack-striking on a bell, the case having a break-arched hood with turned columns over ball with apron and integral bracket feet, 84" (214cm) high.

Condition Report
Dial- pitting to chapter ring. Tarnishing to arch. Needs a clean. Movement- Needs a through clean and over haul. Pendulum rod snapped. Case- Small losses to cornice. Otherwise good, sold with two weights, pendulum, and key.
