Lot Description
A Victorian silver bowl, of waisted circular form with fluted lower body, a rope twist border leading to the crimped rim, hallmarked Vale Brothers & Sermon, Birmingham 1891. Together with a plain early twentieth century bud vase, with flared rim and base, hallmarked James Deakin & Sons ( John & William F Deakin), Sheffield 1911. Diameter of bowl 3 5/16 inches (8.25 cm), height of bud vase 4 1/4 inches (11 cm), combined weight 2.9 ozt (91.1 grams). (2).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. The top of the bowl has been dented distorting its shape, small patches of discolouration, hallmarks clear and legible. There are several large dents to the bud vase including to the top rim, small discoloured line around the middle, one or two deeper scratches, hallmarks clear and legible.
