Lot Description

A Victorian silver mustard pot, the circular conical form raised on shell mounted stylised dolphin feet and conforming terminal to the hinged lid opening to the blue glass liner. Hallmarked Birmingham 1862, maker's mark ?.T. Height measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm), silver weight 2.9 ozt (91 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Some rubbing with loss of detail. Split to one of the dolphin feet. Lid does not sit flush, rising to one side. The glass liner is likely to be a replacement, a little loose and not quite the correct form. Possible repair to hinge. Hallmarks worn.
