Lot Description

A 1930's silver three piece tea service comprising teapot, sugar basin and cream jug, each of plain circular outline above a footed base, the teapot with stained wood handle grip and conforming finial to the domed and hinged lid.  Hallmarked C S Harris & Sons Ltd., London 1932.  Gross combined weight 25.79 ozt (802 grams).

The pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.  Heavier scratches visible to some areas.  Also some small surface dints and dumps, which are mainly visible to the teapot.  Solder is visible around the joins of the spout to the cream jug.  The maker's marks appear a little rubbed and partly distorted but still legible.  The main hallmarks are clear and legible.
