Lot Description

A late Victorian silver canister of plain oval form and detachable lid. Hallmarked Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1894. Height measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm), weight 2.2 ozt (71 grams).

In poor overall condition. The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Numerous dents and bumps. The silver is thin to one side from an engraving removal. Unable to remove cover, fixed in position. The hallmarks are clear and legible, a little rubbed to the cover.
