Lot Description

A 1920's four piece silver tea service, each piece of plain bellied form with decorative borders and acanthus leaf mounted spouts. Hallmarked William Neale & Son Ltd Birmingham 1924/5. Gross weight 44.3 ozt (1379 grams).

The tea service displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing visible and would benefit from a clean and polish. No visible personal engravings. The interiors of the sugar bowl and milk appear to have been gilded, but like the exterior bears heavy deposits and tarnishing.  The hallmarks are clear and legible.
