Both pieces display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.  Surface dints and bumps are visible to both, with some larger and more notable ones to the sugar bowl.  On the sugar bowl, there are some areas of an almost pitted texture with dense scratches and nicks.  Also some likely solder repairs along seam lines and joins.  The engraved initial on cream jug is quite rubbed.  Some rubbing to hallmarks but they are mainly legible, maker's mark on sugar bowl is distorted.
