Lot Description

A 1920's small silver tea canister of plain rectangular form with serpentine front, the hinged and sloping lid with scroll handle.  Hallmarked Synyer & Beddoes, Birmingham 1922.  Maximum height of canister not including handle measures 3 inches (7.5 cm), weight 6.44 ozt (200 grams).

The item appears in fair condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  Some heavier scratches, nicks and contact marks are visible throughout.  Hinges are in working order.  Some rubbing and partial distortion, especially to the maker's marks, but the main hallmarks are clear and legible.
