Lot Description
A modern pair of filled silver dwarf candlesticks, with reeded borders and tapered waist, hallmarked Williams Adams Ltd, Birmingham 1971. Together with a silver and mother of pearl fruit knife with inscribed cartouche, hallmarked William Needham, Sheffield 1919, a base metal mounted vesta case modelled as a horses's hoof and a Metropolitan patent whistle. Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Heavier dents and small patches of discolouration to the candlesticks, particularly to the edges, hallmarks clear. Mother of pearl handle discoloured and scratched, hallmarks clear. There is a chip to the applied veneer on the vesta case, along with scratches and dents, wear to plating and one side is loose.
