A George III silver swing handle sugar basket of fluted oval form with swing handle. Hallmarked London 1786, the maker probably Charles Chesterman II. Maximum height measuring 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weight 5.5 ozt (172 grams).

A little rubbing and loss of definition. Visible solder to a join on the handle. Small cracks to the body around the join of the handle. No visible engravings. Hallmarks a little rubbed but legible.
