Lot Description

A George II silver cream jug, the plain pear shaped body with sparrow beak spout, scrolling handle and raised on a flared circular foot. Hallmarked London 1743 with the maker's mark WG tentatively attributed to William Garrard. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 2.7 ozt (83.9 grams).
