Lot Description
An Edwardian silver mounted photograph frame, of shaped rectangular outline and embossed in Art Nouveau style with foliate and tendril motifs, hallmarked Birmingham 1905, maximum height measuring 9 inches (23 cm). Together with two modern silver photograph frames and a smaller example, each of plain rectangular outline and hallmarked Carr's of Sheffield, dates for 1996, 2002 and 2004, a small continental frame with beaded border, import mark for London 1974, and a modern Italian frame impressed '925' with mark for Ancona. Condition Report
Frames are in varied state, all displaying some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Heavier scratches and contact marks are visible to some, also some surface dints and knocks to edges and corners. There are several dints to the silver mount on the Art Nouveau frame and also some small holes starting to appear in the metal. The hallmarks are mainly legible.
