Lot Description
A late Victorian and an early twentieth century silver inkwells, the first designed as a heart-shape glass inkwell with hobnail-cut base and domed silver lid, the second of square outline with tapered sides. Hallmarked JHW, Birmingham 1899 and Chester 1923. Each Length measuring 2 3/4 inches (7 cm). (2).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The heart-shape inkwell has noticeable dents to the lid. Hinge broken. Wear to the hallmarks, legible. Glass has small chips, nicks and abrasion to base. Square-shape inkwell filled. Ceramic inset deficient. Significant discolouration. Hinge slightly loose. Noticeable dent to lid.
