Lot Description

An Art Nouveau silver comport, the circular shallow dish with scalloped edge and stylised repeated motif of tulips, standing on a slender baluster stem and weighted circular foot. Hallmarked Sibray, Hall & Co (Charles Clement Pilling), London 1901. Height measuring 4 3/4 inches (12 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some heavier scratches around the stem. Rexine to the underside of the base has pulled away a little. The base is heavily filled/weighted. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but clear and legible.
