Lot Description
A silver plated dish cover of domed, oval form and decorated with a band of scrolling foliage and floral motifs and twin vacant cartouche, with leaf moulded removable handle. Together with a further, plain example. Maximum length of both measures 12 inches (30.5 cm). (2).

Condition Report
Both covers display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Heavier scratches and nicks to some areas, also patches of heavier wear to the plating. The plain example displays several dints and bumps. There is also a repair to one area and there are large floods and blobs of solder visible to the interior. The main rim is a little misshapen and one of the screw fittings to the handle is broken.
