Lot Description

An Edwardian silver teapot of oval form with fluted corners, gadrooned border, ivory finial and insulators to the flat top handle with scroll terminal and standing on four bun feet. Hallmarked George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester 1901. Height measuring 5 inches (12.5 cm), weight 16.6 ozt (516 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Minor dints and bumps. Interior heavily discoloured. No engravings. Hairline fractures to the ivory. No engravings present. One rivet to the handle is a little dislodged to one side. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
