Lot Description

A German Hanukkah Menorah, standing on a circular footed base leading to the facetted baluster stem with Star of David terminal, eight branches and a ninth detachable shamash. Base stamped 925 Sterling silver alongside the reichsmark and possibly maker's mark for Gayer & Krauss, two of the detachable nozzles are also stamped 925. Height measuring 10 inches (25.5 cm), weighted base.

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.

Minor dents. The base and filling has dropped. The underside of the base is marked 'metal'. The mount to the detachable shamash appears chipped and misshapen to the opening. The right hand arm(s) of the candelabrum is loose.
