Lot 356

Lot Description

An American soup ladle and matching sauce ladle, each with bright cut engraved border decoration to the stem enclosing a monogrammed terminal.  Impressed '925' to the reverse of each stem alongside the maker's mark for Shreve, Crump & Low.  Respective lengths measure 10 3/4 inches (27.3 cm) and 7 inches (17.8 cm), combined weight 7.19 ozt (223.7 grams). (2).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Overall fair condition.  Both ladles display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use.  Heavy tarnishing is visible to both and they would benefit from a clean and polish.  Some deeper scratches and nicks are visible and there are some file marks to the rounded edge of both terminals.  The ladle bowls appear to have faired quite well and the impressed marks to the reverse are legible.
