Lot Description
A pair of George III silver table spoons, in Old English pattern with initialled terminal, hallmarked Peter & William Bateman, London 1807. Together with a similar pair, hallmarked William Sumner I, London 1802, a further pair of George III Old English pattern table spoons and a set of six matching teaspoons, all hallmarked George Smith (II) & Thomas Hayter, London 1796, a George III dessert spoon and three George III/IV mustard spoons. Combined weight 16.57 ozt (515.5 grams). (16).

Condition Report
In varied state, all pieces displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with their age and usage, and to varying degrees. Heavier wear visible to spoons bowls, including deeper scratches and marks and some dints and bumps, also metal appears thinner in places. Heavier wear around edges and also the tips on several of the bowls are quite worn down. Some rubbing and distortion to hallmarks but they are mainly legible.
