Lot Description

A selection of George III Scottish silver table spoons, to include a pair hallmarked William Robertson (or Roberts?), and a pair with pointed initialled terminals hallmarked James Dempster, all Edinburgh 1794, along with a further four table spoons with initialled terminals hallmarked William Marshall, Edinburgh 1802, one with maker's mark for Alexander Zeigler. Gross weight 14.1 ozt (439.5 grams). (8).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Small patches of discolouration evident to all. Loss of detail to the initial engraving on the four dated 1802, marks very worn in places but legible, loss of definition to the heels, bowls dented, two with splits to the silver edge of the bowls along with some flattening.
