Lot Description
A late Victorian silver mounted leather purse, with hinged opening to reveal a compartmentalized interior, hallmarked Birmingham 1900 also with the foreign mark, height measures 4 inches (10 cm). Together with a silver napkin ring, initialled, hallmarked John Rose, Birmingham 1951. (2).

Leather and silver mounted purse - the leather has become stretched due to the natural aging of the leather, the silver mounts are heavily worn with the silver wearing thin and hallmarks appearing rubbed, only the corner mounts are silver central section appears of a base metal, the case fails to close flush and bows out, both the hinge and clasp are in good working order, the interior is a little loose, the left material inserts has started to come away and displays some tears. Silver napkin ring with general surface wear and tear, all over surface tarnishing, personal engraving is still clearly visible as are the hallmarks located to the rear of the ring, would benefit from a clean.
