A Sampson Mordan perpetual calendar pencil, marked 9ct, the heptagonal body with integral swivelling calendar having enamelled numbers and letters in black with the 'S' for Sunday in red, also with an engraved personal dedication dated 1934, the push button 'gravity drop' opening mechanism revealing a hidden pencil. With impressed maker's mark 'S. Mordan & Co'. Length not extended measures 3 1/4 inches (8.3 cm).

Condition Report
The pencil appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier wear and some rounding of edges, also several deeper scratches and nicks are visible. The enamelled numbers and letters all appear okay. The push mechanism appears in working order. Marked 'S. MORDAN & Co.' and '9ct' only.
