Lot Description

A child's rattle, impressed '925', with floral and foliate pierced globular rattle section, and with further foliate motifs to the handle.  Length measures 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm), gross weight 43.7 grams.

The rattle displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  There is some loss of surface detail and definition to the decoration and heavier patches of tarnishing to some areas.  There are a couple of breaks in the pierced decoration and possible file marks to one area.  Stamped 925 only.
