Condition Report
The teapot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier tarnishing visible to some areas and it would benefit from a clean and polish. General dints and bumps including some larger ones. Rubbing and loss of detail to some areas of the decoration. Repairs around foot rim as floods of solder visible, which is obscuring the Greek key pattern in some areas. Further small repairs to other joins/seams. Remnants of a monogram are just visible to the centre of one of the foliate wreaths. The hinges to the lid are very loose and the lid rises a little on one side when in the closed position. The wood finial is also loose and has a replacement fixing to the interior. The hallmarks, which are located to the underside, are clear and legible. Also lion passant struck to lid.
