Lot Description

Three twentieth century silver compacts to include an Art Deco example with engine turned decoration and central stylised stepped diamond to the lid, hallmarked Turner & Simpson Ltd, Birmingham 1936. Together with two silver and guilloché enamel compacts, the larger with green sunburst designed enamelled lid, the smaller with pink centrally radiating enamelled lid, hallmarked Crisford & Norris Ltd, Birmingham 1946 and 1937 respectively. (3).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. The silver with small patches of discolouration and tarnishing. The pink enamel with slight surface scratches and fading towards the edge, small dint to the interior removable section, no significant damage. The green enamel with one deeper scratch to the surface, small dot of discolouration to the right hand side but no other significant damage. Hallmarks clear and legible.
