A George III Scottish silver snuff box of oblong form, moss agate set lid with reeded border and opening to a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Richard Haxton, Edinburgh 1817. Length measuring 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm).

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
Crack across the bottom left hand corner of the agate. Remnants and build up of debris to the interior. Lid rises slightly to the right hand side when in closed position. Hinge in good working order. Abrasion to the inner lip from the lid being opened and closed. Hallmarks clear and legible, only present to the base interior, no marks to the lid.
