The snuff box displays general surface scratches, marks and wear and some light tarnishing.  Heavier wear is visible around the edges and there is some rounding of the corners.  Some deeper scratches and nicks are also visible and a few small dints.  Some wear to the engine turned decoration, especially around the edges.  Hinged lid in good working order.  Interior was possibly once gilded but this is now faded.  The hallmarks and part hallmarks are clear and legible.
